Debbi & Albert – Loretto Chapel

There is a saying in Spanish ”mi familia es mi vida” and for this couple their families clearly are very important. Debbi and Albert were joined by their parents, siblings and adorable nieces and nephews for an intimate exchange of vows last Saturday. The wedding ceremony took place at the lovely Loretto Chapel. Everyone in attendance radiated love and joy as they witnessed the joining together of these two lives. Congratulations and thanks for allowing me to share your wedding day!

Debbi - The photos look beautiful! Albert and I really enjoyed working with you. You were such a pleasure and captured our day just as we imagined. I can’t wait to see the rest!

Thank you for being so wonderful!

Los Poblanos Historic Inn & Organic Farm

Chickens, pigs and goats…oh my! I just became a volunteer farmer at Los Poblanos Historic Inn & Organic Farm. Everyone in my family knows that I have a soft spot for all animals, but especially goats…there’s just something about them, they are strange little creatures! So I signed up as a barnyard volunteer and this means I get to feed and water the chickens, collect their eggs, and help care for the goats too!

Besides being an organic farm, Los Poblanos is a fabulous historic inn as well. If you’ve never been, it’s located in the historic neighborhood of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque. Los Poblanos is best known for it’s lavender fields and participation in the annual Lavender Festival. Last September my husband and I treated ourselves to a 2 night stay to celebrate his 40th birthday. It was so wonderful we didn’t want to leave!

Samantha & Ron – Engagement Photography

Samantha and Ron traveled from Clovis, NM and Pennsylvania for a weekend get away in Santa Fe. Ron traveled to New Mexico to visit his fiance for the weekend because she’s stationed here at Cannon Air Force Base. They decided to have their engagement photos taken while they were together. What a beautiful couple! I had a great time photographing them around town at few of my favorite spots. And thankfully the sun and March wind were cooperative!

Kris & Jeremy – Encantado Resort

As we head into the winter months, the weather becomes less reliable and November can be cold. But Kris said if she cared about the weather she would not have picked November for her wedding. Although it was definitely a brisk day we did have a brief break from the wind and snow and the sun peaked out for us on cue. We caught the last of the autumn color and I love how the deep yellow contrasts with her turquoise wrap…it was perfect! The wedding was simple and sweet and it was touching how emotions shown through as Jeremy’s dad performed the ceremony. And even Jeremy’s grandmother was able to attend via Skype…don’t you love modern technology!

Elizabeth & Marc – Loretto Chapel

When Marc proposed a toast to his new wife he described Elizabeth as being beautiful both inside and out…and I couldn’t agree more! She was a gorgeous bride but more importantly she is a loving person and generous spirit. This Thanksgiving week I am thankful that I was chosen to share their wedding day with them. Congratulations Marc & Elizabeth…I wish you many years of happiness!
